I was skeptical about paying extra for a piece of fabric, but the footprint clips in perfectly and keeps the tent floor off rocks and pine needles. The Fast Fly setup is a nice bonus too, since I can leave the inner tent at home on dry overnighters.

Bought this mainly so I could pitch just the fly and poles on solo trips, and it clips in way easier than I expected. The footprint itself is cut exactly to the tent floor, no overhang to catch rain. Nice to have the floor protected without hauling the whole inner tent.

Didn't think a ground cloth would matter this much, but the Fast Fly setup actually works great with this footprint clipped in. Keeps the tent floor clean and dry on rocky ground, and packing it is a breeze since it folds down so small.
