Our Guard Station 8 is a dome-style mountaineering expedition dream shelter burly enough to withstand extreme high-altitude, high-alpine conditions. The Guard Station 8 features an external pole design which means it can be set up as a free-standing group shelter, or clip in the tent body to create a double-wall tent. The DAC exoskeleton pole system is incredibly strong and offers generous living space, with polyester rip-stop material developed to provide high UV resistance and stability in the most extreme environments.

Three of us set this up at 14,000 feet in gusting winds and the dome stayed rock-solid all night. The fabric handled the constant flapping without any signs of stress, which gave me real peace of mind.

Abigail G. ★★★★★

I took this tent up to 20,000 feet and the dome held steady against winds that snapped a cheaper pole on a nearby setup. The external pole design made setting up in heavy gloves surprisingly manageable, and the interior space was enough for four climbers and our gear. Felt genuinely secure through a
